The Pember Visits Huletts Landing

On July 26th, the Pember Museum presented a wildlife lecture on burrowing animals at the Huletts Landing Library and Gallery. Bernie, the Museum Educator brought specimens of mole, badger and woodchuck along with a few animals that live in burrows but are not diggers. As a special surprise, she brought along Burt the yellow-naped Amazon parrot and delighted the children as they got to feed him sunflower seeds. Bernie has been presenting programs at the Huletts Library since 2010 touching on a different wildlife subject each year. The children range from grades K and up with attendance from 6 to 20.
