2014 After School Discoveries

logo afd3Beginning January 15th the Pember Library & Museum will be offering After School Discoveries for children of all ages from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the Museum. These programs are free and registration is not required. For more information, contact Bernie Hoffman at 518-642-1515 (Tues-Thurs).

The programs will feature one of the following: slideshow, crafts, or a live animal. There will be animal specimens for touching and learning followed by a fun museum search. You can visit the After-school page under the calendar page.

Holiday Festivities

If you are looking for handcrafted items, visit the Pember Library and Museum for their Holiday First Friday, December 6 from 7:00-9:00pm. However, festivities begin at 4:30pm with stories by the fire, refreshments and crafts. At 5pm there will be carolers and Santa visits at 5:15!

The Holiday First Friday will feature many local artists including a couple of staff members, as well. Here are some photos of the items available from Kathy & Dave Juckett, Gloria Jones, Jeff Anderson, Bev Saunders, Ardyce Bresett, Donna Henry, and Bernie Hoffman. Many more artists will be attending like Beth Kashner with her jewelry.

The Museum gift shop offers many affordable items from plush animals, toys, books, handmade jewelry and scarves.
