Adirondack Animals in Whitehall, NY

The Pember Museum presented a program on Adirondack Animals at the Whitehall Library this morning. Featured animals were the Red Fox, Grey Fox, Striped Skunk, American Black Bear, Red-tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Snowshoe Hare, Bobcat and Fisher. There were mounts for viewing and pelts, skulls and wings for the touching. I believe that the children had a good time and learned a few new things about our wildlife. I was also very impressed with their knowledge!

The Pember will be back in Whitehall at the elementary school on June 5th for a presentation to grades K-2.
