2015 Silent Wings

When I booked this program, I thought it would be all live owls but was thrilled when it included other raptors on August 1, 2015. Trish Marki and her husband presented a fabulous program with an Eastern Screech Owl, Aplomado Falcon, Barn Owl, Red-tailed Hawk and Eurasian Eagle Owl. Where was Lucy, the library cat, when this was happening? First she watched from the Museum’s stair landing and then slinked off to the kitchen. She appeared at the end of the program and was spied by the Eagle Owl. They both looked at each other and she scurried off! Trish and her husband are rehabilitators with the Wildlife Institute of Eastern New York. Thanks to you, your donations to the Pember Library and Museum help us provide quality programs such as this one.
